“If you’re looking to do a home improvement project, look no further than Nehmey Construction, as the company will not let you down.
We first met Diane and John Nehmey at the NARI Home Improvement Show. After interviewing representatives of eight contracting firms, we contracted with Nehmey Construction for an 800 square-foot luxury master suite addition. We were so pleased with the results that we also contracted with the company for an exterior trim project, some other various home repair and improvement projects, and most recently, a kitchen remodel.
John possesses both professional integrity and a good work ethic. We were very impressed by the thorough, itemized estimate he provided before we had even signed a contract. None of the other seven contractors we interviewed took the time to give such a detailed estimate. He subsequently did a good job of managing and choreographing the very complicated master bedroom project. John coordinated with the architect, several subcontractors, the city inspector, and his own staff to keep the project moving forward.
We’ve heard horror stories from family and friends about contractors who come in, tear up a room, leave and don’t come back for weeks at a time, then have to be hounded to finish a project. This was never a problem with Nehmey Construction. We can’t recall a day that went by without work being done, and the project was completed ahead of schedule. We would never say that there weren’t any problems along the way, as that is unrealistic, as every project has issues. However, John always worked to get them resolved quickly and to our satisfaction.
Nehmey Construction’s main tradesmen are experienced craftsmen, very skilled and their work is the highest quality. They are also excellent at dealing with homeowners – very polite and trustworthy. They always cleaned up before they left the site for the day, were respectful of our home, and they were very conscious of the fact that we lived in the home while the work was being done. We enjoyed having them around so much that we missed them when the project was over.
Our master suite, new exterior look, and kitchen are all beautiful, and we have Nehmey Construction to thank for that. We have ideas for more improvement projects to do in coming years. When the time comes, we will not hesitate to contact John for an estimate. Trust is something you have to earn with us and John has most definitely done that.”
